She is without a jacket. Well, she did have one, but it was all bloody. Also she's been rained on. She's borrowed another towel to dry her hair, standing by the large windows that overlooked the cityscape. When Cade's reflection emerges over her shoulder, she flicks her gaze to it. "Mr. Cade~" she turns around to give him a smile. "I did... My heart hadn't pounded that much in some time...." -# She recalls leaping over the gap, across the carts into his arms. The threat of falling just one mistep away and yet the laugh that came bubbling out of her was so.... Genuine. Loud. Unapologetic. -# Matched only with the booming of the fireworks. He doesn't exactly feel like he did anything to be attributed ant credit. But that was, as expected, just how he was. "I see." Consider it a 'thanks' gift for playing with him. A special thing imparted to you. A memory. "I accomplished my goal, then." He can't say that he's happy, because he's not - but it was indeed something he vaguely aspired for. To see Almond happy. He steps forward a bit. He reaches out to pat Almond on the head. His hands are cold. The gesture feels a bit stiff, unpracticed, like a robot. He's not particularly relieved. He wasn't bothered or stressed to begin with. But. ... The side of his lip twitches. "I was satisfied. And impressed." "You did a good job." Pat pat. Good good. @hina 🌼 almond

Her usually smiling eyes going wide for a moment. She blinks back at him once, or twice. Even with his cold hand, the touch makes her feel... warm inside. But its a different warmth. Not the heart-pounding kind that she talks so much about. But rather, a warmth that...soothes? She did good. Do you think so? "...Heehee." "You, too." She smiles at him. His hand lowers back down to his side. His eyes flit up thoughtfully. "If you want a meal before you go," "You could help prepare a stew with me." To get rid of all those excess ingredients. He's not going to need all of that to sustain himself, it'll spoil. He's clued into the fact that Almond likes to help out. He doesn't exactly feel strongly about this or that, but it doesn't cost anything to make her happy. "If you have any gossip, you should share it with me." ... He shakes his head no. He's the sexy one. Presumably. He looks up. It takes him a bit to think about it as he gets out the ingredients. She tilts her head endearingly, making sure to meet his gaze. Even after these past few days...After watching someone die. Holding a gun, watching a childhood friend bleed. Nearly getting shot in the Ferris wheel....Almost falling to her demise. She doesn't mind if this doesn't go anywhere. She doesn't mind rejection. He turns on the faucet, passing veggies to Almond to rinse. It's not always a good thing, to be just a girl. Most people feel a lot of gried over it. The way they are 'girls' are more like an idea, rather than the full fleshed-out thing. Or maybe he's just thinking of himself, again. He doesn't usually project, but he sees himself in Almond. He always has. He hopes you can be one for as long as you want. A cute girl. It doesn't matter if it's real or not. You two are probably the only people who understand this. Now, we can pretend to play house a little bit. And I will remember you. And you will remember me. Playing human, a little bit. "Of course."
